Research Focus

My research lies at the intersection of organizational adaptation and anticipatory decision-making within environments undergoing social or technological change. I focus specifically on the attentional and behavioural conditions that promote anticipation and the consequences of such decisions amidst environmental ambiguity.

My projects focus on early stages of adaptation in multiple sectors. Currently, I am examining the initial shifts in strategic attention for incumbent financial service organizations amidst the emergence of FinTech and the early strategic decisions among new healthcare organizations seeking to integrate care among multiple service providers. I use a range of classical and modern methods in my research including panel regression, multilevel Bayesian regression, topic modeling, and fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparison Analysis to uncover unique insights from data.
